Here ar a couple of recipes that use Honey.  We are certain you will  enjoy then also:

Apple Honey Crisp

Makes 6 servings

    2 lbs. apples, quartered and sliced (1-1/2 quarts)
    1/2 cup plus 1/4 cup honey, (separated)
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
    1 cup flour
    1/4 cup butter, softened
    Warm Nutmeg Cream, (recipe follows) or ice cream

Toss apples with 1/2 cup honey, cinnamon and nutmeg in bowl. Turn into 2-quart baking dish. For topping, beat flour with butter and 1/4 cup honey until crumbly; sprinkle over apples. Bake at 350°F for 40 to 45 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is golden. Serve with Warm Nutmeg Cream or ice cream.

Warm Nutmeg Cream

Comments: Companion recipe to Apple Honey Crisp

Makes 1/2 cup

    1/2 cup whipping cream
    2 Tablespoons honey
    2 Tablespoons butter
    1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Combine all ingredients in sauce pan and bring to boil. Simmer, stirring often, for 5 minutes or until mixture thickens slightly.



Honey Mustard Salad Dressing  (My Favorite)

½ cup vinegar
½ cup honey
1 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
1 teaspoon finely chopped onion
¼ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

1 teaspoon minced parsley
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
½ cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon sugar
In a small bowl, combine the vinegar, mayonnaise, and mustard.  Add sugar, onion, honey, parsley, salt and pepper.  Slowly pour oil into mixture while mixing briskly with a wire whisk.  Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Note: the ½ cup of ingredients can be reduced to ⅓ cup and mayonnaise reduced to ⅔ cup.  This will fit into a glass Wish-Bone dressing container.



Granola Recipe from the Swissôtel Boston

1 Box Quaker Oats (4 lb?)
1 lb Coconuts Flakes
½ lb Pine Nuts
½ lb Sunflower Seeds
½ lb Sliced Almonds
½ lb Pumpkin Seeds
½ lb Pistachios
½ lb of butter

Mix ingredients listed above in a bowl

Melt 2 lb of brown sugar (Honey may be used ) with some vanilla extract and ½ lb of butter.
Add this to the nut combination and mix.

Spread everything on a sheet pan and roast in oven at 350° F until golden.
Let cool and serve


Raisins and/or dried cranberries may be added after baking
